Record Spanish Participation
The next edition of Automechanika Frankfurt 2024, which will be held from 10 to 14 September, will feature the participation of 105 Spanish exhibitors, a record number that reflects the growing interest and expansion of the sector. This was one of the highlights of the official presentation of the event, considered the most important automotive aftermarket fair in Europe.
A Global Event
Automechanika Frankfurt 2024 will bring together more than 4.200 exhibitors from more than eighty countries, consolidating its international character. Paula and Elena Echániz, heads of Automechanika Messe Frankfurt Spain, together with Olaf Mußhoff, director of Automechanika Frankfurt, presented the key facts about the event. Renowned companies such as Axalta, Magneti Marelli, 3M, Shell, Sogefi, SKF and Spanesi have confirmed their participation, and the return of Chinese and Taiwanese companies is expected in halls 10 and 9.1.
Sectors Represented
The Messe Frankfurt exhibition centre will be the epicentre of the automotive aftermarket, hosting companies specialising in spare parts and accessories, diagnostics and repair, tyres and rims, bodywork and paint, car washes, oils, lubricants and fuels, accessories and personalisation, electricity and electronics, connectivity and autonomous driving, insurance, specialist press, among others.
Ambitious Plans for 2024
Olaf Mußhoff emphasised that Automechanika Frankfurt 2024 aims to achieve a similar sales volume to that of 2019, the year before the pandemic and a record edition for the fair. In addition to the impressive exhibition offering, the programme of parallel activities will focus on innovation, sustainability, transformation, education and continuing education, channelled through the Academy programme.
Pillars of Automechanika 2024
Sustainability Court
For the first time, an exclusive space will be dedicated to sustainability, promoting dialogue on production, decarbonisation, the circular economy, remanufacturing, supply chain efficiency, among other topics.
Innovation4Mobility
Pavilion 3.0 will be the meeting point for discussing photovoltaic technology applied to automobiles, bidirectional charging, electric vehicles, sustainable fuels, hydrogen, fuel cells, connectivity, on-board entertainment and artificial intelligence.
Diagnosis and Repair
A programme of talks and conferences will be held on electromobility, used car battery trading, exhaust emissions, sensors, artificial intelligence in retail, and maintenance and repair of electric cars.
Bodywork and Painting
Hall 11.1 will offer information on collision management, electric car repair, sustainability, legal frameworks and challenges for paint manufacturers. There will also be free workshops on working on high-voltage vehicles and fuel cells.
Car Wash and Care
Hall 12.0 will host presentations on car care, innovative fabric cleaning, synthetic leather repair, and talks by executives from lubricant and fuel companies.
Ambition
Hall 3.1 will be an interactive space for Generation Z, with games, a sports and lifestyle area, food and a Club Stage, to boost young people's interest in the automotive aftermarket.
Innovation Awards
The Automechanika Frankfurt Innovation Awards are gaining in prestige with each year's awards. This year, a record 153 products were presented. The award ceremony will take place on 10 September and the Innovation4Mobility area (hall 3.0) will host the presentation of the winning products.
