Light commercial vehicle market growth in February thanks to vans

El light commercial vehicle market has recorded a growth of 8,9% in February, driven mainly by the increase in vehicle registrations Vans. According to the data of Anfac, Faconauto and Ganvam, have enrolled 13.996 units, consolidating the positive trend of the sector.

Vans lead the growth of the sector

Vans have been the segment with the greatest growth, with 6.642 registrations in February, which represents an increase of 16,8% compared to the same month last year. In the cumulative total for January and February, sales have been 12.595 vans, an 21,3% more than in 2024.

On the other hand, the vans and combis of 2,8 to 3,5 tons have experienced more moderate growth than 3,6%, reaching the 4.268 units in February.

Other segments have had a mixed performance:

  • Vans/combi (2,8 – 3,5 tonnes): 4.268 units in February (+3,6%) and 8.130 in total (+4,3%).
  • Pick-ups: 787 units in February (+14,4%) and 1.574 in total (+20,2%).
  • Light commercial vehicles under 2,8 tonnes: 1.228 units in February (-6,9%) and 2.019 in total (-13,5%).
  • Passenger car derivatives: 31 units in February (-31,1%).

Forecasts for the light commercial vehicle market

The growth of the market light commercial vehicles has been more moderate in February than in January. However, in the year to date, registrations have increased by 10,9%, reaching 26.613 units.

According to ganvam, deliveries are expected to light commercials continue to increase in 2025, although with more moderate growth.
