Employment Stability in Industrial Vehicle Workshops
Almost 90% of industrial vehicle workshops have not seen their workforce decrease in the last year, according to the latest report from the VI Aftermarket Club, presented on May 27.
Average Size of VI Workshops
The analysis indicates that 87,2% of these workshops have maintained their number of employees unchanged over the last year, figures that show a certain stability in employment within the industrial vehicle sector. On average, industrial vehicle workshops in Spain have 5,63 employees. Although some workshops have modified their workforce, the majority have managed to maintain their staff stable. 10% of workshops have reduced their number of employees, while 2,8% have increased it.
Job Stability in Exclusive Workshops
Job stability is more evident in workshops dedicated exclusively to industrial vehicles (exclusive), compared to those that also work with other types of vehicles (specialists).
The study carried out by the VI After-Sales Club focused on specialist and exclusive workshops for industrial vehicles. According to the Club's data, the study covers 2.421 specialists and 2.261 exclusive workshops. A total of 430 interviews were conducted and the information was collected through a telephone survey, using a structured questionnaire lasting approximately 9 minutes.
Prospects for 2024
The study, presented by Enrique Gómez, had as its main objectives to understand the perception of VI workshops on the evolution of the business in 2023, in addition to analyzing the evolution of the market in terms of activity and turnover during 2023 and the outlook for 2024.
