A historic return after 45 years: Since the last Grand Prix in 1981 at the Jarama Circuit, motor racing excitement is returning to the Spanish capital. The agreement, which runs until 2035, was enthusiastically presented by F1 leaders and local authorities, anticipating annual revenues of €450 million and more than 8,200 new jobs for Madrid.
Designing the future of F1 in Madrid: The event was attended by Jarno Zafelli, designer of the new Madrid circuit, whose preliminary design of 5,474 km, 20 curves, and a spectacular banked curve promises unique emotions. Although the FIA homologation is pending, it is expected that the circuit, capable of hosting up to 240,000 fans, will become a key piece for the championship.
