In an extraordinary step towards innovation, IVECO has completely transformed its line of industrial vehicles with an investment exceeding 1.000 billion eurosThis radical change not only affects the outstanding WAY range, but also includes significant improvements to the well-known Eurocargo. This comprehensive renovation is accompanied by the birth of the revolutionary xCursor13 engine, developed by FPT Industrial, which is positioned as the beating heart of the brand's new trucks.
The new xCursor13 engine, in its most powerful configuration, delivers an impressive output of up to 580 hp and 2.800 Nm of peak torque, with a variant of 500 hp and 2.600 Nm of torque. On the newly launched IVECO S-WAY, this engine contributes to a 10% improvement in fuel consumption, thanks to the Meritor 17xHE quick-reduction axle and the ZF-designed TRAXON Gen2 12-speed transmission. In addition, the engine weight has been reduced by 10%, making the Cursor13 lighter than its predecessor, the Cursor11.
IVECO has not only revamped the mechanics, but also the aesthetics and comfort. The S-WAY and X-WAY cabs have undergone a complete metamorphosis to improve driver comfort. The full digitalisation of the instrument panel and infotainment system with TFT screens reinforces the technological position of the new models. The addition of predictive GPS, rear-view cameras and Mirrorcams instead of conventional rear-view mirrors make these trucks safer and more efficient. In addition, the passenger seat now features a folding table and a USB charging socket.
Alongside the WAY range, IVECO is introducing the latest features of the versatile Eurocargo. This model includes a new digitalised driving position, advanced driving aids and digital services. The Eurocargo also introduces the range of Tector7 CNG engines, with power outputs of 220, 250 and 280 hp, and 8-speed FZ automatic transmission, reinforcing its position as a versatile truck with capacities from 7.5 to 19 tonnes.
In an exciting revelation of the future, IVECO confirms the launch of an electric version of the S-WAY truck, called the S-eWAY. With a range of up to 500 kilometres, powered by nine batteries with a total capacity of 738 kWh, this electric model will feature a 350 kW fast-charging system, allowing an 80% charge in just 90 minutes. Equipped with two 480 kW continuous electric motors, the S-eWAY points the way towards sustainability in freight transport.
