The aftermarket sector continues to show remarkable strength. According to data published by Ancera (National Association of Automotive Equipment, Parts, Tires and Accessories Dealers), the distribution of spare parts in Spain grew a 6% in turnover during the first nine months of 2025, driven by a stable demand and for the improvement in the logistics and commercial processes of the distributors.
On third trimester, the evolution was even more positive, reaching a 6,7% growth, which confirms the dynamism of the Spanish market compared to the European average.
Year-end outlook and outlook for 2026
Ancera maintains its forecast for the end of the year at +6% growth by 2025, exceeding initial expectations.
To 2026, a more moderate evolution, with an expected growth of 3,7 %, in line with the maturation of the post-inflationary cycle and normalization of demand after the peaks recorded in recent years.
Main challenges of the aftermarket sector
Despite the favorable context, the sector faces structural challenges that determine their competitiveness and sustainability. These include:
- Talent management: attraction and retention of qualified professionals.
- Absenteeism and labor regulations, which impact productivity.
- Profitability and operational efficiency, especially in a high-cost environment.
- Regulatory complexity and bureaucratic burden, which limits business agility.
- Product supply and availability, even with tensions in certain replacement families.
These factors make it necessary to strengthen the sectoral collaboration and digital transformation, two key areas to ensure the competitiveness of distributors.

For its part, Carlos Martín, secretary general of the association, highlighted that:
"The growth recorded through September is an excellent sign for the sector. The third quarter exceeded our forecasts, and the national performance is above the European average."
