Last June, the Government signed an agreement with several organizations in the transport sector to distribute aid of 450 million euros among companies to alleviate the effects of the rise in fuel prices. According to the National Federation of Transport Associations of Spain (Fenadismer) This aid has already begun to arrive.
This is very positive news for the after-sales sector, as both truck and bus and ambulance fleets will have more money in their accounts in the coming months to get their vehicles up to speed after a particularly difficult year due to high inflation and low profitability. These direct aids are added to those already approved in March and consist of a fixed amount for both freight and passenger transporters depending on the number of vehicles they own.

14.000 applications under review

In this new call, around 111.000 transporters, also including the taxi sector, have been beneficiaries, who are currently receiving the aid granted by the Tax Agency in their banking entities through transfer by the Bank of Spain, with around 14.000 applications having been provisionally denied or pending verification.

These applications have been provisionally rejected for failing to meet one of the requirements that gave the right to the aid, or due to an error in the processing of the application, such as errors in the registration of the bank account for the payment of the aid or because it falls within the competence of the Basque or Navarrese regional administrations. There is also a limited number of applications that are being studied in the case of groups of companies to check that the limits of aid provided for by European regulations have not been exceeded.

Fenadismer reminds beneficiaries who have debts with the Treasury that the Tax Agency will proceed to offset them, so in such cases they will receive in their bank account the resulting amount once the deduction of their outstanding debt has been made.
