Mercedes-Benz Vans increases van sales by 13% in the second quarter of 2025

Mercedes-benz vans has recorded solid growth in the second quarter of 2025, with 93.400 vans sold all over the world. This represents a del% increase 13 compared to the first quarter of the year. A significant boost came from strong demand in both the commercial segment as in that of private vans.

Record sales of electric vans (eVans)

One of the most notable data of the quarter has been the year-on-year growth of 32% in eVans sales (100% electric vans), which already represent the 7% of total sales of the brand and reach the 10% in EuropeThis growth reaffirms the Mercedes-Benz's commitment to the electrification of its range.

In addition, the company has concluded the largest order for eVans in its history: 5.000 electric units will soon be delivered to Amazon's transportation network.

Increase in deliveries and retail sales

Due to the growing demand, the Deliveries to customers increased by 18% in the second quarter. Retail sales in Germany, one of the brand's key markets, grew by 27 %, driven by high interest in electric and private versions.

According to the company, the market environment remains highly competitive, but the figures reflect a sustained, positive trend for the van division.

First half sales and future strategy

In first half of 2025, commercial segment accounted for 82% of total sales of Mercedes-Benz Vans, confirming its importance within the business. For its part, private vans accounted for the remaining 18%.

Sagree Sardien, Director of Sales and Marketing for Mercedes-Benz Vans, said:

“We are encouraged to see the intensification of our efforts to deliver a premium customer experience and the electrification of our portfolio, resulting in 7% growth for private vans and 42% growth for eVans in the first half of the year.”

Launch of the VLE: the next generation of private vans

By early 2026, Mercedes-Benz Vans plans to expand its range with the new VLE model, a state-of-the-art private van. This model has successfully passed range tests, covering almost 1.100 kilometers from Stuttgart to Rome, with only two 15-minute fast charging stops.

This initiative demonstrates the brand's commitment to long-range electric mobility and its intention to consolidate its position in the premium segment of private electric vans.
